With the ever increasing traffic levels requiring refurbishment
and upgrading of motorways, Demolition Services Ltd. was employed by
Tarmac Construction on the M40 Widening Contract, Junctions 4 to 5.
Motorway
overbridges and underpasses were demolished during a combination of night-time
and weekend road closures.
Daytime working was also undertaken with the benefit,
where necessary, of motorway
lane restrictions.

Reinforced
concrete precast stressed concrete, and steel bridges were
demolished in accordance with the Main Contractor’s
programme requirements, to ensure minimum disruption of
motorway traffic.
