Demolition Services has a strong presence in the energy and utilities sector. Power generation companies are engaged in extensive plant improvement projects driven by the need for a significant reduction in CO2 emissions and greenhouse gases and we are assisting customers in reducing their carbon footprint. The Large Combustion Plant Directive is impacting all UK fossil fuel plants and Demolition Services focus is to help our customers decommission and remediate fossil fuel based facilities preparing them for development into biofuel or CHP plants. Equally, utility companies face similar challenges as they phase out old assets and technologies such as town gas production facilities and gas holder infrastructure.

Defence

Demolition Services has carried out work in the defence sector on various sites. Our services have supported demolition and land remediation at various MoD facilities throughout the UK including RAF Menwith Hill and RAF Scampton.

Environmental

Demolition Services environmental services are mainly focused on contaminated land remediation, although the majority of our services support environmental improvement, sustainability and CSR objectives. We regularly recycle/reuse materials at our project sites in excess of our targets. Our specialist capabilities encompass an integrated “cradle to grave” contaminated land remediation service, specialising within the brownfield redevelopment market. Capabilities and experiences include the use of engineered approaches and solutions to contaminated land challenges, including risk assessed remedial design and appraisal, through to the implementation of site remediation works.

Chemical

Demolition Services is a specialist provider of decommissioning and demolition services to the chemical industry. As experienced decommissioning and demolition engineers we have developed industry best practice and understand the practical, safety and legislative challenges posed by chemical manufacturing environments as well as having experience on COMAH sites. We offer a proven team with the technical and managerial capabilities aligned to the varying scopes of work that we may encounter through the course of a plant decommissioning programme. We have had many clients in the chemical sector including the BRP (Oldbury).

Development & Regeneration

Demolition Services Ltd is a specialist provider of decommissioning and demolition services to property developers in city centre, residential and business park environments. Customers include Wilson Bowden, Bellway, Gladedale, Taylor Woodrow Developments, Interserve and Evans Property Group and various specialist development organisations.
