Cleared for takeoff at British Airways, Cardiff

Project Completion – Roseberry House, Edinburgh

Project Complete | 18-Storey Tower Deconstruction – Bristol

Proud to share the successful completion of our latest project in Bristol, the controlled deconstruction of an 18-storey tower that showcased both technical precision and innovative methodology.

At the heart of the works was the floor-by-floor, top-down deconstruction strategy. Using a remote-controlled Brokk excavator with breaker attachment, our team safely and efficiently reduced the structure in a progressive, piecemeal sequence. This approach not only improved control and safety but also ensured minimal disruption to the surrounding environment.

What truly set this project apart was the deployment of the Titan encapsulation screen system. By replacing traditional scaffolding, Titan delivered major advantages:

• Faster installation 
• Reduced cost
• Enhanced perimeter protection
• Cleaner, more adaptable working environment

The integration of this system, alongside our top-down methodology, proved to be a game-changer — enabling us to complete a complex high-rise deconstruction with confidence, efficiency, and innovation. A huge well done to everyone involved. On to the next challenge.

Kellingley Colliery

Demolition Services Limited facilitated the blow down of the No1 tower at Kellingley Colliery, Knottingley, using controlled explosives on Monday, 2 July 2018.

Demolition Services Limited commenced demolition works on the biggest deep coal mine in Europe in April 2016, with the blow down of the No2 tower on 10 November 2017, which went 100% according to plan thanks to the expertise employed by the family business.

Kellingley Colliery covers 151 acres and the project includes asbestos removal, demolition of all buildings and land decontamination so that the site is left in a healthy state for re development, which will boost the local Yorkshire economy investment by an estimated £100 million.

Demolition Services Group has been operating nationwide in the UK since 1980, and specializes in demolition, asbestos/waste management and land remediation. The project was an opportunity to showcase their extensive experience and expertise in a turnkey remediation contract.
